Backend Engineer (Node)

The Backend Engineer (Node) will contribute to the full software development life cycle of existing web application servers and help manage integration with evolving core services. They will work closely with and report directly to the project Engineering Manager.
The ideal candidate will have strong Node.js skills and have prior history with typescript. They should have an understanding of how to containerize Node.js applications and a firm understanding of testing best practices.
2-4+ years of experience with Node.js
Strong understanding of Express
Strong understanding of SQL databases
Experience with Redis
Experience with private npm registries
Experience creating APIs and packages to be consumed by internal developers
Experience with CICD pipelines - we use bitbucket pipelines
Ability to work across Linux/UNIX platforms
Experience delivering SaaS products to enterprise customers
Experience working with globally distributed remote teams
Experience with Jamstack deployments (we use Vercel)
Experience with OpenAPI specifications
Experience with Docker
