The success of MonetaGo’s Secure Financing solution is dependent on our ability to detect fraudulent activity. Fraudsters are constantly evolving their methods to avoid detection. The Senior Data Scientist will be tasked with taking the lead on researching and developing new methodologies and models for improving the fraud detection and prevention capabilities of the product. The Senior Data Scientist will collaborate with engineering and data teams to productionize new models using the latest machine learning platforms and methodologies for real-time inference at massive scale across billions of documents.


To be successful at MonetaGo the Senior Data Scientist should have an insatiable curiosity for learning and be a self-starter that works well both independently and as part of a team. As a senior recruit, the Senior Data Scientist should be comfortable mentoring juniors and acting as a positive role model for the team.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-10 years experience as a Data Scientist

  • Masters or PhD in Statistics/Mathematics or equivalent quantitative field

  • Highly skilled in Python for analytics

  • Tensorflow or Keras

  • Experience with a broad range of ML techniques including NLP

  • Data visualization and presentation

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with machine learning on multiple cloud service providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)

  • Experience working with private/regulated data under an Information Security Management System
