Description

The Technical Director (TD) will be the first hire for a newly opening development office based in India. They will oversee technical operations in the region and will report to the global Senior Vice President of Engineering.

Responsibilities

The TD will be tasked with building the full-stack India-based engineering team from the ground up and will be responsible for delivery of new software products and enhancements to the Indian market as well as contributions to global products, ensuring all India based technical operations adhere to global technical standards, collaborating with business and product teams to determine resource cost of new projects, and hiring and managing technical talent.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years experience managing software teams

  • 5+ years experience in software development with distributed systems at scale

  • Experience delivering SaaS products

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional, agile teams

  • Ability to use technical understanding to appropriately estimate scope of work required to make updates to existing projects and start new projects

  • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience managing external software vendors

  • Project management

  • Experience growing technical teams to >20

  • Fluency in English

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with globally distributed teams

  • Experience working with Enterprise and Financial Services clients

  • Hands on experience with Java/Kotlin, Nodejs

  • Working understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP
