MonetaGo Adds Robyn Dittrich, David Rutter and Arnau Porto to Strengthen the Board of the Global Trade Finance Fraud Prevention Solutions Provider

SINGAPORE, NEW YORK, 20 NOV - Trade finance technology provider MonetaGo is adding Robyn Dittrich, David Rutter and Arnau Porto as board members. Arnau Porto is appointed executive chairman.

Robyn Dittrich, VP of Global Operation Programs at BHP, is a well-known figure in the commodities sector. She enhances the board with her extensive background in international sales and operational excellence. Prior to BHP, Dittrich was the APAC Vice President of Sales at S&P Global Platts after several years at BP, the British multinational oil and gas company.

David Rutter, CEO of R3, brings his industry expertise in banking, technology, and government relations. Prior to founding R3, Rutter was CEO at ICAP Electronic Broking.

Arnau Porto, Founder of Greentrail Capital and CEO of Nasdaq-listed GTAC, is a seasoned leader and investor in growth-stage technology companies such as Robinhood and Carvana, having begun his career at Blackstone. As newly appointed Chairman of the Board, Porto will help steer the company to achieve its global objectives.

MonetaGo’s flagship product, Secure Financing, first launched in 2018 to prevent duplicate financing fraud, was integrated last year into the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (Swift) system, as the first third-party fintech service available on Swift accessible by member institutions in 200+ countries to mitigate fraud risks in trade and supply chain finance.

MonetaGo's expansion resulted in the implementation of its software by major trade finance institutions across multiple jurisdictions. In parallel with the adoption by the majority of the Singaporean market, MonetaGo has also established itself in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

The addition of Dittrich, Rutter, and Porto as board members will bolster and support the executive team as it capitalises on this growth and further cements MonetaGo's position in new markets.

“I am delighted to join the MonetaGo board during this period of the company’s development,” said Robyn Dittrich. “This is an opportunity to enhance its practices across a number of operational areas and to participate in an exciting evolution. I very much look forward to working with the leadership team.”

"MonetaGo has continuously been at the forefront of revolutionising fraud prevention technology. I am thrilled to contribute to their mission of securing trade finance globally,” said David E. Rutter, Founder and CEO of R3, who has been a pioneer in Central Bank Digital Currencies innovation since 2016 and has driven the adoption of emerging technologies across the financial sector.

“MonetaGo has shown that it is extremely adept, not only in using new technologies but also in applying them to solve real, industry-wide problems. This puts them in a unique position to make a substantial impact on trade at a global scale. It’s a privilege to be working with the team and to have the opportunity to participate in their next phase of growth,” said Arnau Porto.

On the board, Neil Shonhard, CEO of MonetaGo said, "We are delighted to welcome Robyn, David, and Arnau to our Board of Directors. Their combined and diverse experience and achievements provide unique leadership which will be instrumental in continuing to advance MonetaGo as a global provider in digitisation and fraud prevention for financial services. Secure Financing encompasses modules aimed at providing a comprehensive aggregated Trade Finance OS over the coming years.”
