MonetaGo named Best Fintech in Trade

LONDON 4 MAY, 2023 --  MonetaGo has been awarded ‘best fintech in trade’ by Global Trade Review, a leading trade finance publication.

This prestigious award recognises MonetaGo's commitment to preventing duplicate financing fraud and its outstanding success in developing innovative and scalable technology solutions for the global trade finance industry.

MonetaGo's flagship Secure Financing system, which has processed millions of transactions, is regarded as the global standard in trade finance fraud prevention. It is the first third-party service available on SWIFT API, and is deployed for The Association of Banks in Singapore’s Trade Finance Registry and India’s Trade Receivables Discounting System.

MonetaGo's vision and strategy for a scalable business model is unique in the industry. Using ISO 20022 standards makes it easy for users to implement the appropriate database schemas. Accessible via Swift API, direct API, web user interface and financing platforms, the Secure Financing system is an omni-channel utility. MonetaGo has partnered with the International Chamber of Commerce to issue a first-of-its-kind call to action for governments, regulators, banks and trade associations to act on trade finance fraud.

Neil Shonhard, CEO of MonetaGo, comments: "We are thrilled to be recognised by GTR as the best fintech in trade. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the MonetaGo team in developing innovative solutions that address the critical challenge of fraud for the trade finance industry. Our Secure Financing system is revolutionising the way trade finance is conducted and is helping to narrow the trade finance gap by providing financiers with the confidence they need to extend the lifeline of funding to genuine businesses worldwide."

The annual GTR Leaders in Trade awards celebrate the achievements of the world’s leading trade finance service providers, highlighting excellence in the trade, commodity, supply chain, export finance and fintech markets.

A full write-up of the Leaders in Trade winners will appear in the Q3 2022 issue of GTR.
