SIDBI Deploys MonetaGo Secure Financing Across MSME Lending Operations

MUMBAI, Monday 10 August 2026-  SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India) and MonetaGo today announced the go-live of MonetaGo’s Secure Financing system on SIDBI’s GST-Sahay Invoice Based Financing Platform, following a successful pilot programme.

The deployment enables SIDBI to validate invoices financed through TReDS while enabling invoice validation across other participating factoring platforms and lenders, including SBI Global Factors and India Factoring. The milestone reinforces SIDBI’s commitment to strengthening secure, transparent and scalable financing infrastructure for India’s MSMEs.

The go-live builds on SIDBI’s November 2025 announcement to adopt MonetaGo’s globally proven Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) technology. Following a successful pilot and three months of live production, Secure Financing has now been deployed on SIDBI’s GST-Sahay lending operations for Invoice Based Financing.

SIDBI serves as India’s principal development financial institution dedicated to the promotion, financing, and development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Through its nationwide lending and development initiatives, SIDBI plays a critical role in expanding financial inclusion, strengthening MSME participation in domestic and global value chains, and advancing India’s broader economic growth agenda.

“The successful implementation of Secure Financing marks an important milestone in SIDBI’s continued efforts to build a trusted, transparent and efficient MSME lending ecosystem,”  submits Anand K Yadav, AGM, Digital Initiative Vertical, SIDBI. “The platform has delivered an exemplary operational experience while strengthening confidence across our GST-Sahay financing workflows. Secure Financing changes the way we lend by enabling trusted invoice validation at scale, allowing us to make faster, more informed lending decisions while improving the experience for both borrowers and financiers.”

“SIDBI’s adoption and successful deployment of Secure Financing shows Digital Public Infrastructure can be deployed at scale in institutional lending environments,” said Kalyan Basu, Managing Director - India, MonetaGo. “The strong implementation experience reflects SIDBI’s leadership and the maturity of interoperable, standards-based infrastructure in India’s financing ecosystem.”

“We are proud to see SIDBI live on the MonetaGo platform following its March 2026 deployment and three months of stable production,” said Neil Shonhard, CEO of MonetaGo. “The deployment demonstrates how proven Digital Public Infrastructure can strengthen institutional lending, build confidence across the ecosystem and support broader access to MSME finance.”

MonetaGo’s Secure Financing system has been at the core of India’s digital trade finance infrastructure since 2018. On Reserve Bank of India-supported MSME financing platforms underpinned by MonetaGo’s technology, the number of MSMEs receiving financing has increased by 319% since the beginning of 2023, demonstrating the impact of secure, interoperable infrastructure in expanding access to credit.
